All degree students in Finland have access to student health services including dental care, mental health, and general practice.

Why this matters

FSHS provides comprehensive healthcare at low cost. Dental care alone saves hundreds of euros compared to private clinics.

How it goes

When you pay your student union fee, you automatically gain access to the Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS, formerly YTHS). Book appointments at yths.fi or through the FSHS app. Services include general practice, dental care, mental health support, and specialist referrals. There is a small fee per visit (about 16 euros for a dental check-up). Most services are available in English.
