Why this matters

Finnish student benefits can significantly reduce your living costs. Many students do not claim everything they are entitled to.

How it goes

Full-time students who meet residency requirements may be entitled to: study grant (opintoraha), housing supplement (asumislisä), and student loan guarantee. Apply at kela.fi. Student meal subsidies (Kela-ateria) provide discounted meals at university cafeterias - usually €2.95 for a full meal.
