Finland First Steps provides informational tools for people moving to Finland, international students, employers, and selected visitor-guide use cases. Depending on the part of the Service, this may include checklists, practical guides, step-by-step procedures, university-specific guides, community discussion, resource links, transport information, and hotel visitor-guide material.
Important: The information in this app is provided for general guidance only. It does not constitute legal, financial, medical, or immigration advice. Always verify requirements with the relevant Finnish authorities (DVV, Migri, Kela, Tax Administration, etc.). We are not liable for decisions made based on information in this app.
When posting in the community, you agree to:
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines.
The Service and its original content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by the operator. Guide content, design, and code are protected by copyright. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without permission.
Content you post in the community remains yours, but you grant us a licence to display it within the Service.
Hotel visitor-guide previews are provided for internal evaluation only. A preview does not grant a right to copy, publish, print, resell, or distribute the guide to hotel guests. A paid hotel pilot starts only after payment, approved hotel details, and confirmed pilot dates.
No partnership, endorsement, or official relationship with a tourism authority is implied unless separately agreed in writing. Hotel names, logos, and property-specific details are used in licensed materials only after the hotel has approved that use.
The Service may contain links to external websites (e.g. official Finnish authorities, transport apps). We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of these external sites.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of content, or fitness for a particular purpose. We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time.
To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes shall be settled in a Finnish court of competent jurisdiction.
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
