Choose a programme
Browse Bachelor's and Master's programmes taught in English at Studyinfo.fi or directly on the university's website. Check entry requirements, language requirements, and the application period.
Prepare your documents
Typical documents include your passport, previous degree certificates and transcripts, an English-language proof (IELTS / TOEFL / similar), a motivation letter, and a CV. Some programmes also require an entrance exam or portfolio.

Accept your offer and pay tuition
If admitted, confirm your study place in Studyinfo by the given deadline. Non-EU/EEA students then pay tuition or secure a scholarship before the semester begins.
Apply for residence permit and housing
Non-EU/EEA students apply for a student residence permit at Migri. EU/EEA students register their EU-right of residence after arrival. Apply for student housing (e.g. HOAS in Helsinki) as soon as possible — demand is high in August.
Studies are free for EU/EEA citizens. Non-EU/EEA students pay annual tuition for English-taught Bachelor's and Master's programmes (typically €10,000–€18,000 per year). Many universities offer tuition scholarships.
Each university runs its own scholarship scheme. Scholarships are usually granted based on academic merit at the time of admission — no separate application in most cases. Check the programme page for the exact rules.
