Helka is the UH library card — activated digitally via Studies service after your UH account is active.
Go to studies.helsinki.fi and log in with your UH username and password.
Open the Helka card icon (top-right on desktop, or via the navigation menu on mobile).
If prompted, log in to Helka first to create your customer data in the library system.
Click 'Get a Card' and set a 4-digit PIN code (needed for self-service lending machines).
Your digital card is ready — you don't need a physical card. You can also book group study rooms in Kaisa-talo and Aleksandria via your Outlook calendar.
